"In search of TRUTH"
Human being is a fraction of God. Any feeling to the contrary is illusory. It requires spiritual enlightenment and refurbish one’s nature – soul development and ascent to Divine. Some people may not feel any urge to seek their good. They are not human beings who indulge only in material pursuit – eat, drink and be merry. But those who realize their dignity as human being (Manav) seek principle of harmony and peace.
For every person there comes an hour sometimes or others, when he sinks in the gulf of utter blackness and ready to give every thing for one gleam of light (Viveka). The divine truth which is free of access of all mankind is attained by those who are willing to remove their ignorance.
Ignorance is spiritual blindness. To remove it, we must cleanse ourselves from defilements.
The effort of the seeker is directed to the elimination of hindrances to the removal of the obscuring tendency of ignorance. It is because that wisdom is always present. It is not a thing to be acquired. It has only to be revealed our causal apprehensions backed by wishes and prejudices do not reveal reality.
Wisdom and ignorance are opposed as light and darkness. When wisdom dawns, ignorance dies. The liberated human being (Manav) overcomes the world. There is nothing to conquer or create. We live in the supreme.
Man is a complex multi-dimensional being. But he is free when he acts from the highest level and uses his divine light (Viveka). Then there is spontaneity in the realization of truth. Moreover, God has bestowed to human being freedom to act which has no application to the sub human species of plants and animals.

Approaching Truth

Recitation of devotional songs (Bajans), Kirtans and listening of spiritual discourses are helpful in knowing Truth. Best way is to observe own truth in silence through discremination (Viveka). Intercepting truth is discarding of untruth. Frank discussion with preceptor (guru) or with other truth seeker may be helpful in realizing truth. One should have confidence that self realized untruth (ignorance) can easily be relinquished as the darkness vanishes with the rising of sun. We are temporarily illusioned by untruth. The problem is lack of practical approach in discarding ignorants. Sincere efforts in this direction will be the best remedy for relinquishing ignorance. In case there is a mixture of right and wrong in one’s character it will be difficult to renounce ignorance.

Human Goal

Attachment with worldly pursuits and yearning for reality are two opposite poles of human beings. Firstly one should try to free oneself from all never-ending desires and attachments. Secondly there should be innermost thirst for realizing truth. The realization of our own real want enables us to set up our own goals. Therefore means come either through preceptor (guru) or through scriptures or through awakening of Viveka.
We have to realize the reality of human body is always changing. The likings of goods, situation, and status should be utilized in the best way. Attachment with worldly objects is misdirected goal of human life.
A common perception is that one considers own hand, leg, eyes and mind etc. as mine. But no one considers I am leg, hand, eyes and mind etc. The realization of self will change perception. Henceforth one will not be involved in pleasures and pains of human body. Therefore one should not take one’s body for himself only. It is of the world and for the world. Similarly worldly possessions are meant for serving others. The realization of this fact will help us in relinquishing desires and attachments. Peace and happiness will automatically be there and union with Lord will not be far behind.
Spiritual path depends upon one’s likings and capacity. A truth seeker should analyse his own condition. Whether he/she has made proper use of available circumstances or is involved in finding faults of others or baseless ponderings etc. These are negatives that should be avoided in actual life because they are stumbling blocks in spiritual path. Hence utmost effort should be made to get rid of negatives in one’s life.
All people do not experience worldly progress uniformly. It depends upon their situation and circumstances which are not uniform for all people. But the goal of life to accomplish peace and happiness is same for all truth seekers. Hence a truth seeker should be sincere about actual Goal. One should not be self-deceptive – involved in obtaining maternal benefits by hook and crook. Self-deception is an obstacle in both materialistic and spiritual progress. The difference between a saint and a common man is that the former follows his path as shown by inner light (Viveka) while the later is in dark .
